Sixth Form Seminar Lunch

On Tuesday 25th February, three students in the Upper Sixth, Catherine, Aysha and Mina, presented excellent papers as part of the 2019-20 Sixth Form Seminar Lunch Programme. Catherine spoke with great clarity about the potential impact of Carbon Zero initiatives upon Oil and Gas companies. She was followed by Aysha, whose equally thoughtful paper focused on whether the NHS is able to provide adequate care to Mental Health patients. Mina concluded proceedings with an inspiring talk about the challenges and opportunities inherent in space travel to Mars. This was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all concerned. All three students excelled when asked questions by the panel of guests, which included school governor, and BBC West Midlands political editor, Patrick Burns.
