On Tuesday 29th January, Upper Fifth GCSE Religious Studies students travelled to Worcester Cathedral to take part in the annual RS Candle Conference, hosted by Dr Peter Vardy, who was welcomed into school for a day long series of lectures last year. During the conference, Dr Vardy offered students several tips on how to structure a well argued essay. He also spoke in great detail about several interesting topics on the GCSE specification. Despite the cold, the Upper Fifth listened to him discuss topics such as Abortion and the Existence of God, and heard from his wife, Charlotte Vardy, about examination technique. The students would like to thank Mr Symes, Mrs Douglas and Dr Jackson-Royal for facilitating the trip. It was an interesting day filled with useful discussion.
