Chess players Shriya and Madhini have both enjoyed success at the annual Megafinal competition. Both girls won the title of “Suprema” in their age categories, qualifying for the National Gigafinal competition in two weeks. King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham (KEHS) has been named West Midlands Independent Secondary School of the Year for Academic Excellence for the fifth year in a row and is once again the highest-ranking independent school outside London and the South East, with a national ranking of 11th.
