Badminton Players Aim High

On Monday 4th February, two teams of KEHS students competed in the county round of the National Badminton Championships. The Key Stage Three team, consisting of Aditi, Sana, Gracia, Aditi and Namrata, were unbeaten in all of their singles and doubles matches.

On Monday 4th February, two teams of KEHS students competed in the county round of the National Badminton Championships. The Key Stage Three team, consisting of Aditi, Sana, Gracia, Aditi and Namrata, were unbeaten in all of their singles and doubles matches. Our Key Stage Four team, consisting of Michelle Sum, Kirsten, Cathy Ge, Krithika and Jessica , also played extremely well against some tough competition. Both teams achieved first place in their respective age categories and they now go on to compete at the Regional competition later this year.

Exciting news! On Thursday 12 December, the BBC One Show featured the incredible true story behind the upcoming Netflix movie The Six Triple Eight, starring Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey. This was a remarkable opportunity to learn about the story of the 6888 Central Postal Directory Battalion – an all-female, predominantly African-American unit stationed at King Edward’s School during the Second World War.
