Congratulations to the musicians who performed at this week’s lunchtime recital at the Ruddock Hall. Beatrice began the concert with Holst’s Invocation. The cello and piano are imitative of each other throughout the piece, Beatrice captured this beautifully and gave an excellent performance. Samantha concluded the concert with a performance of the first movement from Mendelssohn’s ‘Violin Concerto in E minor’. Samantha gave an exquisite performance, showcasing her many capabilities as a violinist. She played Menhelssohn’s tricky figurations with confidence. Thank you to Ms Sanders for accompanying the girls.
