On Saturday 22nd June, eight students competed at the Splash Lifesaving Competition. Before the event, the students paraded around the pool to show off their superhero themed costumes; one team dressed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the other as the Men in Black. Well done to The Ninja Turtles team: Katie, Ellie, Morgan and Erica, who achieved second place in the Fancy Dress Competition and won their lifesaving events. The Men in Black team: Erin, Annalisa, Siya and Sumayyah, also won their Fancy Dress competition and achieved second place overall.

Best in class: KEHS once again named West Midlands Independent School of the Year for Academic Excellence
King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham (KEHS) has been named West Midlands Independent Secondary School of the Year for Academic Excellence for the fifth year in a row and is once again the highest-ranking independent school outside London and the South East, with a national ranking of 11th.
