Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
The SEND Department works collaboratively with the leadership team, pastoral staff and teachers, to provide provision for students with SEND.
The SEND Department works collaboratively with the leadership team, pastoral staff and teachers, to provide provision for pupils with SEND. We are experienced in supporting pupils with a range of general or specific difficulties, and medical or emotional problems, which can be temporary or long-term. We pride ourselves on getting to know pupils well, so that we can fully understand their needs, in order for them to access the curriculum, achieve their potential and enjoy all the opportunities of school life, making any appropriate reasonable adjustments required.
To learn more about our approach to SEND, please refer to our SEND policy.
SEND Provision
Ms Wright

Meet the SEND Department
Ms Davies, Miss Woods, Madame Franco and Miss Rowley
There are several members of staff who can offer support to pupils. Ms Davies is the school’s qualified SENDCo and oversees the day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND. Miss Woods and Madame Franco are Deputy SENDCos. As well as providing SEND provision, Miss Woods supports the transition of pupils with SEND, and Madame Franco co-ordinates the support for pupils whose first language is not English. Miss Rowley is the department’s full time Learning Support Assistant, who works with pupils across all year groups in a variety of ways.

The Warnock Room
The Warnock Room is a dedicated SEND space, which provides a quiet place for pupils who require it, during study periods, recess, lunchtime, and before and after school. Regular access to the Warnock Room is granted by the SEND Department, but pupils are welcome to drop in if they would like to speak to Miss Rowley or Ms Davies regarding a learning need.
