King Edward VI High School for Girls is pleased to announce that, for the first time, it will be working with an external partner for school catering.
Thomas Franks has been appointed to provide catering services across KEHS and King Edward’s School from this September. Thomas Franks is a leading provider of catering services for independent schools, and both schools have been impressed by the quality of its offer, including its experience in catering for a wide range of dietary requirements within diverse educational settings.

Food plays a hugely important role in school life and during our review of catering last term, it became clear that Thomas Franks, KEHS and KES had a shared vision for food and nutrition across the campus.
“Working with an external partner represents a significant change for both schools. Our in‑house catering team has served generations of pupils, staff, parents and visitors, and they will continue to play a central role in our catering provision: they are very much part of our future.”
Among the highlights of the partnership with Thomas Franks will be significant dining hall improvements over summer 2026 and access to a network of nutritionists with expertise in encouraging healthy eating among both girls and boys, building on the strong catering foundation laid at KEHS and KES.
