As a parent, you want to help your child make the best possible choices for their future.

One of the most important decisions your daughter will make is about her career. Explore our career resources to help you support your child in making informed decisions about their future and in building career development skills. 

The Department has invested in a careers software package to make it more convenient for students to carry out independent research into future jobs and study options in school and at home. All pupils are provided with their own individual access and are able to tailor this to create a personalised resource based on their interests, and to keep a record of their activity.

Pupils can log in easily with the Microsoft Single sign-on (SSO)  

This digital portal is synced with students’ school account. A pupils can access Unifrog for up to 3 years after leaving school if they add a personal address to their profile. 

  • Unifrog.orgAll students have their own Unifrog account which they can use at school and at home. With tools suited to all ages and stages of the career journey
  • BBC Bitesize Careers – great range of videos and podcasts to explore careers and decision making 
  • Prospects.ac.uk – University careers platform valuable for older students to explore sectors, job  roles, internships and future pathways 
  • NHS Careers – Explore hundreds of healthcare roles and take the NHS Careers Quiz 
  • Springpod.com – Springpod.com for virtual work experience has resources for secondary school aged students. 
  • Theforage.com – Theforage.com is a US site for job simulations and virtual work experience it is targeted at students who are 16+ 

Please note, resources and opportunities are shared directly with your child either on their year group Teams, or by email.

In addition, opportunities, resources and events are advertised in the schools’ fortnightly newsletter.

Help us support our pupils

We benefit enormously from having links with parents, employers and higher education institutions. 

We are always looking for work experience placements, shadowing, industry visits, mentoring advice and visiting speakers.
