On Tuesday, Nimhara and Anushna took part in a debate against KES on whether feminism had gone too far. To make it more challenging, it was decided that KEHS would propose the motion! The debate took the form of a mace style debate, which allowed for inclusion of some insightful questions and comments from the packed audience in the PAC. The girls argued convincingly that third wave feminism had become too radical and no longer represented all women around the world. Feisty points were put forward by both sides, however, the vote at the end showed that the girls had been most convincing as a majority of people changed their mind to agree that feminism had indeed gone too far. This debate concludes a fine year of debating for KEHS and we look forward to the next show debate against KES in the Autumn term. New girls are always welcome at Junior and Senior Debating and we hope to see lots of new faces in September!
