Last week, our Sixth Form Sports Committee set up the PE Department’s gym bikes in the Entrance Hall to undertake a static charity cycle ride to raise money for Langa Hockey Club in South Africa. The aim was to cycle 1917 km from the northern most part of South Africa, Messina, down to Cape Agulhas in Cape Town- a feat the students managed to achieve with one day to spare! Our senior netballers also played some fantastic netball against a team from KES; our girls eventually won a superb match with a 28-26 victory. We have raised over £300 and will also be donating sports gear and kit to Langa Hockey Club. Well done and thank you to all the girls and staff who took part in such a worthwhile fundraising event.
