In the Summer term, girls in the Upper 4th had the opportunity undertake a filmmaking project as a part of their enrichment programme. Throughout the project, some of the girls were able to explore different genres, such as Coming-of-Age, where the film follows the growth of the protagonist from youth to adulthood. Films entitled Phone Heist, Unfriended, After After-School Club and Cheat, were shown in assembly before half term. The project enabled the girls to draft a storyboard, write a script, create a film template and a shot list. They also learnt about the types of cameras, microphones and lights used in filmmaking. Teamwork and communication were essential to the success of these projects and the girls enjoyed having the chance to work with different people to explore their creativity. The Nigel Freeman-Powell Award was presented to Zayna during assembly for her hard work, creativity and acting!
