On Thursday 19th September, a group of students worked with successful actress Joanna Vanderham in a monologue masterclass. Joanna shared her experiences of Drama School, agent showcases, auditions and the realities of working in film, television and on stage. Joanna’s extensive acting credits include playing Desdemona at the RSC and playing Lady Ann opposite Ralph Fiennes in Richard III at The Almeida. She generously shared her skills and knowledge, directing the students to develop and explore their characterisation.

King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham (KEHS) has been named West Midlands Independent Secondary School of the Year for Academic Excellence for the fifth year in a row and is once again the highest-ranking independent school outside London and the South East, with a national ranking of 11th.
