On Wednesday 26th February, Allison Havey, co-founder of the RAP Project, gave an interactive and engaging talk to Upper Sixth students about preparing for life after school, whether it be at university, in the workplace or during a gap year. Allison spoke candidly about several important issues which are common causes of stress for students transitioning from school into young adulthood: relationships, consent and sexual harassment, pornography, alcohol and drugs, as well as ‘lad culture’ and toxic masculinity. Allison provided some useful tips on handling these issues and spoke with honesty, providing advice for students on how to navigate their way through the challenges posed by each of the issues.
