On 5th February, Upper Fifth GCSE Art students visited the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, which is home to a vast collection of artefacts from around the world, including the Haida Totem Pole, a magnificent structure running up to the ceiling of the museum. The girls arrived with sketchbooks in hand, ready to take inspiration from the vast array of historical artefacts. The museum was a perfect choice for giving the girls inspiration for their GCSE Art examination. After two hours of drawing, taking photos and undertaking a sketchbook workshop, the girls also had the opportunity to explore the city of Oxford. The trip was an unforgettable experience that will most definitely help the students to develop their individual projects, as they work towards their final GCSE examination.
Future ready: Year 12 explore university pathways
It was a privilege for our year 12 pupils attend a jam-packed morning of higher education sessions given by leading academics and admissions staff from Birmingham, Aston, Warwick, Leicester and Nottingham Universities.
