KEHS dominated the South Birmingham Schools Cross Country race at Shenley Academy this week with a formidable team of 15 girls. In the Year 7 race, Amira was the clear winner, a good distance ahead of her nearest rival. Hannah and Laila were both in the top 15 so qualified for the West Midlands Championships race later this month, with Madeline completing a strong team.
In the Year 8/9 race, Anisa was the clear victor, followed by Dhaksha who came in 9th place, so both girls will progress to the next round. Olivia and Emily-Marie both showed great tenacity in their first year in this age group, completing another fine team effort. In the Year 10/11 race, seven KEHS girls competed and they all finished in the top 25. Tess was outstanding in first place, completing a clean sweep of victories for KEHS girls. Salihah was also very impressive in 5th place, with Hanna and Ella also in the top 15. Khadijah, Hannah and Carola showed great strength and determination in completing the team. Overall, this was an outstanding effort from our talented and hard working group of girls. Well done all!
