Christmas at KEHS all wrapped up!

This December, King Edward VI High School for Girls came alive with festive cheer as we celebrated Christmas in style, wrapping up the year with joy!

From the magical snow day to our Christmas House events, the season was packed with occasions that brought our community together. Highlights included the annual Christmas Thirds Disco, the heartwarming KE Community Christmas, the dazzling Steinway Concert and the musical treats at our Christmas Concerts. Pupils and staff also embraced the Christmas spirit with initiatives like festive decoration workshop, the spirited Teacher vs Pupils Christmas Debate and Christmas Jumper Day. Exciting news! On Thursday 12 December, the BBC One Show featured the incredible true story behind the upcoming Netflix movie The Six Triple Eight, starring Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey. This was a remarkable opportunity to learn about the story of the 6888 Central Postal Directory Battalion – an all-female, predominantly African-American unit stationed at King Edward’s School during the Second World War.
