On 12th September, fourteen Lower Fifth pupils attended the GSA ‘Girls Go Gold’ Conference at the University of Bath. Ex-England Netball Captain, Pamela Cookey, started the day with an inspiring speech about her sporting career. This was followed by an interesting sports psychology lecture, practical masterclasses in netball and hockey and an opportunity for the girls to undertake some trampolining. To conclude the day, our pupils were fortunate enough to hear from the first all-female team to ski across the Antarctic continent. Overall, it was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to learn from some very determined sporting role models.
