KEMUN conference

Our KEMUN 2024 took place on 19th and 20th April. The two days comprised of an Opening Ceremony, the lobbying phase, the General Assembly and a Closing Ceremony.

Dr Pänke from the School of Government of University of Birmingham and Advait Kuravi, OE from London School of Economics were our keynote speakers and gave us a glimpse of their work, experience in Model UN conferences and the important of participating in such simulations. Dr Ricks commenced the official procedure in the Opening Ceremony while Mr Quayle said goodbye to all in the Closing Ceremony.

A crowd of over 160 students were involved, from Delegates and Chairpeople to Security Staff and Board Members. Massive congratulations to all that worked behind the scenes for months now for the event to run smoothly. Sincere thanks to our tireless Board, Aaryan, Anusha and Nandhika who were an asset to this year’s conference, as well to Miss Bishop for her invaluable assistance to make this event possible.

Congratulations are also in order to the Delegation of the United Kingdom that won our first ever Best Delegation award! The group came to us from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys with Ms MacKenzie as their Advisor. All Delegates individually dazzled the Committee Chairs with their depth of knowledge and professionalism earning the award fair and square.
