On Sunday 5th May, following their success at the county and regional rounds, our Key Stage 3 badminton team competed in the National Schools Championships and achieved first place. The first round of the competition saw the team win all of their matches. This confirmed the team’s hopes of winning a medal, it was just a case of playing two more matches in order to determine the colour! The students faced some very competitive and evenly matched games. Despite this, they managed to win 19 out of the 20 games they played over the course of the day, which resulted in them being crowned the National Schools Champions. A huge congratulations goes to Aditi, Sana, Gracia, Aditi and Namrata!
