On Saturday 17th November, Sarah Tinley in the Upper Sixth, swam a 15km distance to raise funds for Good Hope Hospital in memory of Poorvi Giri. So far, she has successfully raised £858.04 for this worthy cause. Sasha Nixon was the lifeguard to oversee her performance and she was supported by friends and family, who were astonished at Sarah’s ability to have a conversation with such fluidity after 330 lengths! Ella Mason organised a group of musicians to provide a calming and relaxing atmosphere, which certainly encouraged Sarah to fulfil her ambition. Well done to Sarah for her efforts,

King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham (KEHS) has been named West Midlands Independent Secondary School of the Year for Academic Excellence for the fifth year in a row and is once again the highest-ranking independent school outside London and the South East, with a national ranking of 11th.
