On Tuesday 12th November, girls from the Lower and Upper Sixth took part in a regional round of the Senior Maths Team Challenge competition! They had to work quickly and accurately to solve problems both as a team of four and in pairs. In one of the rounds it was particularly important to do this as there were bonus marks for finishing the four questions in six minutes rather than the eight allowed. Naomi, Tabassum, Ami and Komal managed to complete one set of these questions in just two minutes! Their overall performance was awesome – they didn’t lose a single mark throughout the competition. This meant they won the heat – beating the 16 other schools taking part and they will compete in the National Final in London in February. Well done girls and well done to Mrs Arnold for preparing the team so well.
