On Sunday 23rd June, musicians from both KES and KEHS performed an evening of jazz music to a packed Ruddock Hall. As well as our usual talented bunch, Senior Swing Band were joined by student vocalists and two professionals: Joe Thompson on piano and Robert Rickenberg on bass, who both gave workshops prior to the concerts. The programme included jazz classics with Nandini theatrical performance of All that Jazz, Elysia exhilarating performance of Big, Blonde and Beautiful from Hairspray and Charlotte atmospheric presentation of Feeling Good. Duets featured Tara, Sanjana, Priyanka, Naomi and Shivanii. Joe and Rob then performed their own duets, and even took requests from the audience, a highlight of the evening for all. It was a fantastic concert and congratulations to all involved!
