The final Performers’ Platform of this year’s series took place in the Ruddock Hall on Tuesday 12th June. Beatrice (cello) opened the concert with a heart-rending performance of Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, Ami (cello) gave a soulful rendition of Fauré’s well-known Élégie, and Zoe Yap also performed Fauré, this time on the violin, playing the Romance which offered much dramatic variety. The final soloist of the evening was Naina (voice) who showed poise and excellent communication in her performances of Mozart’s Un Moto di Gioja from The Marriage of Figaro and Quilter’s June. The concert finished with a dynamic performance of the Allegro from Beethoven’s Piano Trio in E♭ major op.1 no.1, performed by Ivy (piano), Bronagh Lee and Ami (cello). Congratulations to all performers who have taken part in this year’s series of concerts.
