Festival of colour

A large group of people covered in colourful powder are posing for a photo on a grassy field with their arms raised in celebration.
The Holi event was brought to life on the KEHS field last Friday. We raised over £500 for the Wings of Hope charity which supports the education of children in India and Sierra Leone.

Holi is the Hindu festival of colour, that celebrates joy, unity, and the arrival of spring. This colourful celebration of culture and community saw students and teachers from both KEHS and KES enjoyed delicious samosas, crispy spring rolls and unlimited drinks.

The highlight of the evening was the colour throwing, where vibrant coloured powder is thrown between everyone taking part. The lively atmosphere highlighted the community between both schools as everybody left the event in a range of different colours, capturing the spirit of the celebration. Whether watching or taking part, enjoying the food, relaxing in the sun or singing along to the music – you all made this event unforgettable!
