Culture Week 2026

Culture Week has shown KEHS at its best and most lively, from the colourful decorations in the hall to the beautiful music played in the mornings.

Culture is alive in every room we walk in and every person we meet and yet it can be so diverse. We saw so many different cultures and identities on display and it was wonderful that each one of them could be celebrated.

Almost every lunchtime featured fantastic events for everyone to get involved in. We hosted two panels where staff and pupils shared their personal encounters with culture and listened to others’ perspective. What I loved most was hearing how passionate and happy people were when talking about their favourite traditions and memories.

Thursday hosted the grand event: the Culture Fair. There was an abundance of stalls raising money for charities, informing us about different cultures and serving unique foods. Everyone came together to watch an array of diverse, colourful outfits strut down the red carpet to a mix of great tunes and the lunchtime finished with a perfect Just Dance finale.

Other events this year included cultural storytelling, ice cream topping, matcha making, an afterschool Iftar, a cultural debate, salsa night and of course the delicious food in the dining hall representing multiple continents. Thank you to Mrs Kavanagh and all the pupils involved in making this week so special!
