On Tuesday 12th March, we hosted over 120 pupils from local primary schools for our annual creative writing workshop. The pupils were able to hear about story writing from established playwright, Mike Carter, and explore techniques for inventing ideas for a story. The session focused on creating tension within a story, using verbs and adverbs in particular. Every student was involved in writing the start of their own short story and several had the chance to perform readings of their stories. Thank you to Mina in the Lower Sixth, who helped out with the session.
