On Friday 7th February, Upper Sixth Spanish students organised KEHS’ seventh annual Salsa Night, in aid of the Latin American Foundation for the Future. Over 100 tickets were sold, resulting in one of the best attendances ever at the event. Students and teachers from both KES and KEHS came together to drink mocktails, eat pizza and, most importantly, learn to Salsa dance. Despite the range in ages and abilities, the dancing was a success, with our Spanish assistant Egus deserving particular praise for being the Salsa teacher’s most enthusiastic and very professional dance partner! With a raffle, pinata and photobooth, 2020’s Salsa Night was truly an experience to remember and, thanks to the generosity of the guests, the help of the teachers and the hard work of the Sixth Form, over £700 was raised for LAFF. This money will go towards helping children and young people in Peru to build a better future, providing quality education and personal development to those who live in vulnerable situations. Thank you to all involved for contributing to such a worthy and important cause.
