Samantha, in the Upper Fifth, has been appointed a Medic Mentor School Ambassador. This will give her the opportunity to network with aspiring and current doctors, vets and dentists, with council meetings throughout the year. As part of the programme, ambassadors also create initiatives for Medic Mentors and develop leadership skills. Samantha attended her first School Ambassador Council meeting on 17th November. She did an oral presentation on ‘My Higher Level Project: Should Open-Label Placebos Be Introduced Into UK Healthcare’, covering scientific, psychological, economic, political and ethical topics.
