On Monday 11th January, the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Student Information and Education Group delivered a thought-provoking assembly about the anti-discrimination posters that were recently put up around school. The posters were designed to make people think about the impact that discrimination has in today’s society, and to create a realisation that discrimination is not a thing of the past, however much we all wish it was. The assembly explained the meaning behind these posters, including the difference between equality and equity, and how gaining understanding of other cultures is essential to breaking stereotypes and ending discrimination. We hope that when we are back in school, these posters will act as a reminder to everyone to reflect on how we can make a difference in our everyday lives.

An exploration of Ancient Greece
