In the Summer Term, many of the Thirds conducted work on the Black Death and its impact on the West Midlands. The best work was submitted to the national Young Historian Project Local History competition and the following girls’ work was highly commended: Rebecca, Radha, Roha, Nandhika and Sareena. Additionally, the Upper Fourth studied the First World War in the Summer Term. The best essays on causes of the war were submitted to the Young Historian Project Great War competition, and the following girls’ work was highly commended: Namrata, Ayeshah, Sofia and Dhaksha. The judges commented that they were impressed that all the entries from KEHS were extremely well written, and that the Thirds work was the best they had seen in that regard. Well done to all girls involved!
