Old Edwardian Claire Arnott came into school on Wednesday 5th December to speak to Sixth Formers about setting up a business. Claire is the co-founder of an African inspired, social conscience orientated homeware and gift company, called Okapi Home. She spoke about her motives for setting up the business, how she has added value to her products, how she handles managing stakeholders, her business ethics, different market research techniques, as well as the financial aspects of running a business. Claire also works as an independent consultant and offered the girls some useful careers advice in this field. We would like to thank Claire for giving up her time so generously.
