Congratulations to Naomi who has been selected to represent the UK at the Romanian Master of Mathematics Competition to be held in Bucharest in February. Naomi’s selection was due to her impressive performance at the UKMT Hungary Maths Camp which took place over the Christmas break. As one of 20 participants chosen from across the UK, Naomi worked alongside 20 Hungarian participants; the event provided an excellent opportunity for her to train with other young mathematicians. The camp saw all participants sit two and half hour long maths papers, attend instructive lectures and participate in two additional four and a half hour long Olympiads which were used to select the UK team. Naomi performed extremely well and is thrilled to have been selected for such a prestigious international maths competition. Interestingly, she will be the only girl on the UK team! More information about Naomi’s success can be found here.
