In November, three Upper Sixth students took the British Physics Olympiad round 1 paper. This is a very challenging written paper undertaken by some of the best Sixth Form physicists in the country. Congratulations to Lucia, who achieved a Bronze 1 award, Saffron, who achieved a Silver award and Jessica, who achieved a Gold award. All three students achieved excellent results and proved themselves to be in the top 700 physicists of their age. However, Jessica gains a special commendation for achieving results ranked in the top 100 in the UK.
